Who We Are & What We Do
Over the Rainbow is a vibrant non-profit social club dedicated to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment focused on the mature LGBTQ+ community, but welcoming all. We provide resources, host events, and create connections that empower individuals and promote equality and living with dignity.

Mission
Over the Rainbow Social Club fosters connection, dignity, and joy for LGBTQ+ older adults by creating welcoming spaces where community, friendship, and support thrive. Through inclusive social events, cultural programs, and access to supportive resources, we empower LGBTQ+ mature adults, allies, friends, and caregivers to connect and age with pride, visibility, and belonging. Our mission is to ensure that no LGBTQ+ adult experiences aging in isolation but instead remains connected to a vibrant and affirming community.

Vision
Over the Rainbow Social Club envisions a community where LGBTQ+ older adults
are celebrated, connected, and fully supported as they age. We strive for a future in
which every LGBTQ+ elder—along with caregivers, allies, and chosen family—can live
openly, access affirming resources, and remain engaged in vibrant community life
without fear of isolation, discrimination, or invisibility.
Our vision is a world where aging within the LGBTQ+ community is not defined by
loneliness or marginalization, but by dignity, belonging, and joy.

Values
Community & Belonging
We believe every person deserves to feel welcomed, valued, and connected. Our
programs create spaces where LGBTQ+ older adults and allies can build friendships,
share experiences, and strengthen community bonds.
Dignity in Aging
Aging should be accompanied by respect, autonomy, and affirmation. We advocate
for environments where LGBTQ+ elders can age openly and safely.
Inclusivity & Accessibility
While centered on LGBTQ+ older adults, our programs welcome caregivers, allies, and
community supporters. We strive to ensure our events remain accessible regardless of
financial means, background, or ability.
Chosen
Family
Many LGBTQ+ elders rely on networks of friends, caregivers, and community
members rather than traditional family structures. We honor and strengthen these
chosen families.
Connection to Resources
We work to bridge the gap between LGBTQ+ elders and supportive services by
fostering partnerships with organizations that provide health, wellness, and aging
support.
